Leadership Development

You would be hard pressed to find a company mission statement that doesn't, in some way shape or form, claim, "employees are their greatest asset." Interestingly, while so many make the claim, a surprisingly high number fail to regularly invest in making their people the best that they can be. While they may offer the occasional training program, efforts to proactively and deliberately build leaders are rare.

Our developmental process is a resource to help committed organizations do just that – develop their greatest asset. We offer a variety of programs that vary in the amount of "personal touch" they contain.

At one end:
We don't have much direct contact, but we utilize our assessment tools to diagnosis a leader's current knowledge, skills, abilities and characteristics. Participants are then provided feedback that strives to:

  • Build insight and awareness regarding his/her strengths and developmental challenges.
  • Channel the awareness toward targeted developmental goals to be addressed.
  • Stimulate their thinking by including some developmental suggestions to help them know "how" to structure to their growth.

At the other end:
We partner with executives for high-touch, personal coaching for six months. Common elements include:

  • Extensive data collection: in-depth assessment, diagnostic interviews and/or 360° feedback
  • Interviews with the individuals sponsor and/or boss to get insight and perspective on his/her challenges.
  • Follow-up meetings that provide much more hand-holding (or prodding) to keep the executive progressing.
  • Customized interventions to build new skills and/or master new techniques.

Not surprisingly, there is plenty of room between these two versions to customize a program that works for you.

If you want to move from words on a mission statement to an organization of executives engaged in proactive continuous learning, contact Valutis Consulting to discuss this service further.
