Overview

Systems are the processes and programs that create the infrastructure that allows an organization to reach its goals and vision. Systems can be established for a number of purposes including personnel selection, performance management, and employee development. What makes a system successful is how well it fits with other existing systems and helps the organization meet its goals.

Many businesses are often unaware of when they need to develop a formal system. Often they take a piecemeal approach, putting together the parts of a system without ever looking at or thinking about the whole. The result is often an inefficient program that prevents the organization from reaching its full potential.

We view systems development as a much more comprehensive and proactive approach to developing programs and processes that are needed not only for the day-to-day functions of the business, but to help achieve longer-range goals and missions.

How it Works

We meet with you to determine the true needs of your business such as identifying trouble areas or deciding where the organization would like to be. From there we can decide what type of system(s) will best meet your needs. For example, a history of poor hires or high turnover might be corrected with a stronger selection program. Or a desire to be a customer-focused organization could require new performance management processes and team leadership training.

After determining your needs and the appropriate system, we then work with you to design a system that not only fulfills specific needs (e.g., performance management), but fits with the overall goals and purpose of the organization (e.g., change towards a more customer-focused culture).

At this point we create the necessary components, seeking your input to assure they are owned by your organization and meet your expectations. This includes drafting all forms, checklists, and manuals that will be needed as well as providing the training and other instruction that is needed to fully implement the system. All aspects of the system are designed for you, so that you end up with a program that is unique to your organization and drives your mission.
